In this on-going class you will practice poses to help free the hips and strengthen the abdomen and pelvic muscles. You will release blocked energy and feel more vital and alive. Other benefits of strengthening the core include improved digestion, elimination, relief from back pain and menstrual problems.
The abdominal and pelvic muscles are often overstretched and weakened in pregnancy and childbirth. In this class you will learn time-tested yoga poses that will strengthen and tone these muscles, correct placement of pelvic organs, help to heal a diastasis (separation of the recti abdominal muscles), reduce incontinence and other problems you may be dealing with.
A strong and flexible core is the foundation for the entire body. Our core – pelvis, abdomen and hips - influences spinal alignment from head to feet and the flow of our creative energy. We can feel tight and separated from the upper and lower parts of our body. This can be caused by stress, lack of integrated use and emotional holding patterns.
Come with an empty stomach and a willingness to go deep.
