Teacher Training

The Seattle Holistic Center's philosophy is that peace and harmony in our world starts with the re-awakening of motherhood.
The way we treat birth and parenting impacts our humanity. The majority of women can birth without any interventions.

learn from the center that gave birth to prenatal yoga in seattle.

Seattle Holistic Center offers one of the most comprehensive prenatal yoga teacher trainings available. The Prenatal Yoga Training programs are infused with the wisdom of holistic childbirth education and yoga.

You’ll go beyond the technique of yoga postures while deepening your understanding of pregnancy, labor and birth. Factual information on the current evidence-based data of our modern birthing practices is woven into the instruction of each prenatal class. This helps women to understand what their choices are and to make conscious decisions for their care, which can greatly improve birth outcomes.

Benefits of taking the course include:

  • Practical teaching experience of yoga and meditation to pregnant and postpartum women

  • Creating a profitable niche in the specialty of pregnancy, labor and birth

  • Personal growth and self-study

  • Offering a service that the women in your community will remember, long after they have given birth!

“I have the unique distinction of being one of Colette’s first prenatal teaching students. Although it is hard to find the words to describe my experience; extraordinary, eye opening, challenging, brilliant, empowering, nurturing, divine would be a start. I was then and have been since extremely blessed by Colette’s teaching and her guidance. Because of her I have touched the lives of countless women and their families in the last 17 years.

These classes will inspire you to embrace all that is feminine and what Mother truly means. It will give you the tools to provide the women in your community with knowledge and empowerment. If you have it in your heart to connect with women and make a difference in their lives this prenatal teacher training program is for you.”

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Colette Crawford for all that she’s taught me and all that she’s shared with me over the past 6 years. I attended my first training with Colette in 2009 with the intention of learning how to teach Prenatal Yoga so that I could offer these classes in my community, but discovered that my time with Colette ignited in me a passion for birth and helping women to have the tools, information and support to birth with confidence, peace and in their own terms.

Colette makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk into the studio and has a way of connecting with each and every student. I learned so much invaluable information and feel that all that she’s shared with me has given me the tools to do what I love, to confidently teach prenatal, postnatal and Couples Yoga for Labor classes and to support women in birth.

I highly recommend attending her classes and if you’re an aspiring prenatal yoga teacher, attending her trainings. You will find the experience transformational and will be so happy that you did!
